Will Davis VS Ingram

Will "Out Like a Gladiator" DavisVSDustin Ingram

In his third fight of the day, newcomer Davis was definitely going the distance this boxing Sunday. Challenged mostly veterans but also took on a newcomer that day as well. Dustin Ingram wouldn't seem intimidated at all by fight record that Davis was quickly building up that day. He stood there and smirked as Davis told that this was his third fight. He was about to show Davis what was up.

Davis's bark was worse than his bite for the first round. While he had an even reach and good defense against Ingram, his attacks were paltry. Most of his punches were fakes at Ingram. Perhaps Davis was just feeling his opponent out. Ingram as well seemed to keep the aggression to a minimum. He would mostly keep a defensive pose throughout round 1 and would only punch as a counterattack to Davis's blocked attacks. By the end of the first round, neither fighters got a good shot in.

As the 2nd rounded started, it appeared as if things would pick up as Davis went in the ring fast and furious at Ingram. Unfortunately, Davis's moves would turn out to be more flash than substance as his quick punches would rarely make contact. Ingram as well tried to stay defensive and wasn't one quick to jump to offense. Clearly the sips he was taking from the power drink at the round break wasn't working. In the end, while both fighters were good movers there was a whole lack of shaking going on that prevented this fight from reaching it's full potential.
