Nathan Johnson VS Popp

If the phrase "the calm before the storm" ever applied anywhere it would most certainly apply during this fight. Right before the big Damn VS Paine fight, this slower paced fight would be comparable dull to the fights before and after.  The first in a huge series of fights, The Kid would try to earn the respect of many despite his shortcomings( *ahem* pun intended). While he might not have the size he certainly has the determination in his eyes as he sizes up his opponent before they touch gloves.

While he would almost have no chance to hit Popp, he certainly would try his damnedest to punch Popp as Popp pushed his back and laughed. This would the epitome of most of the first round with the exception of The Kid going for the ever-professional jump punch that Davis and Conn would employ in their fights during the July 16th Extravaganza of fights. 

The second round would be more of the same as the Kid tried to punch the human wall that towered over him. As before it got him no where, but he would try to vary his strategy by occupying Popp by punching him in the gut then jumping up to him in the Jaw. This strategy tend to be effective in the last round where he effectively made Lenny his bitch.

The Kid would keep up the same strategy in the third round which turned out to be effective for him as would hit Popp's jaw numerous times.
